1. Wat Po

Wat Po is also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha as there is a gigantic reclining Buddha statue inside of it. It is really impressive to see this immense statue, but the other parts of the temple are really stunning as well. Everything is beautifully decorated, with lots of colors and there are lots to see.



2. Wat Arun

The Wat Arun is very iconic for Bangkok, and you should definitely visit it! You can actually climb up till about half way, which gives a spectacular view across the city. The steps are super steep though. There are ferries going from the one river bank to the other, making it easily accessible.




3.The Grand Palace

The construction of the Grand Palace began in 1782 and it is still used today for official ceremonies. It is a complex with multiple buildings, all of which are beautifully designed. It is really impressive to walk around and see all the beautiful decorations. The emerald Buddha can also be found here. It is a very sacred statue, and according to the legends, dates back to 43BC. Clothing to cover yourself appropriately can be bought or rented at the main entrance of the palace.




4. Khao San Road

Khao San Road used to be famous for backpackers specifically, but it now seems a main tourist attraction for any kind of traveler. You can find anything here from cheap to expensive Hotels, Resturants, Souvenirs and Tattoo shops, basically everything you can imagine or need as a backpacker. Next to that it’s also a great place for partying and meeting other travelers.




5. Chinatown

Bangkok’s Chinatown is one of the biggest Chinatowns in the world. It a huge and super crowded place with lots of Chinese shops, vendors, delicious street food and restaurants and temples It is a good place to wander around and see what they have. It’s really more about the energy that the area produces. Definitely one you can’t miss.




6. Lumpini Park

Lumpini park is a great getaway from crazy city life with the high office buildings in the background and it really remind me of Central Park in New York. You can nicely wander around here, have a pick nick in the grass, and rent a canoe to make your way across the lake, or buy food to feed the fish. During the evenings lots of bands often play there making, the atmosphere more relaxed and good.




7.Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon is a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand. It is one of the biggest shopping centres in Asia. It includes a wide range of specialty stores and restaurants as well as a multiplex movie theatre (consisted of 15 large size theaters with one of them having the biggest screen and seating capacity in Asia) and the Sea Life Ocean World (Underwater world) aquarium (the largest aquarium in South East Asia) and an exhibition hall and the Thai Art Gallery and also an opera concert hall. It also has a large bowling alley and karaoke centre.
